About the shop

A watchmaker's shop on Civic Drive.

Watch Zone is a watch repair shop at 1250 Civic Drive in Walnut Creek, near Civic Park. Behind the front counter is a working watchmaker's shop with lathes, a cleaning machine, pressure testers and an electronic timing machine.

Its watchmaker, Tam Luu, holds the CW21 title (Certified Watchmaker of the 21st Century) from the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute. He also completed Swatch Group U.S. Service Provider Training in 2011, which covered mechanical movement service, case and bracelet refinishing, and water-resistance testing.

“I've taken watches here for repair and batteries and just questions for about eight years, and the service is pro, fast, and plenty friendly. […] they (man and wife) […] talk about watches in depth, and they're good people, to boot.”
